Swindon Bowl Concerts '09
Town Gardens all set for music events
The line-up for the Swindon Bowl concerts will be hoping to continue the live music buzz still around after the BBC Big Weekend.
Starting with the high-energy Southsayers on 13 June, five open-air gigs are planned throughout the summer.

Saturday 13 June
Doors 6pm, on stage from 8pm, finish 10.30pm Music for all people from all cultures and nations, a group of musicians playing a fusion of nu Afro beat and dub; a cultural collision created by movement of people; music with vision and a message; music for all people from all cultures and nations. The dynamic and exciting live act with thumping grooves, killer horn lines and uplifting vocal melodies has grown ever tighter over the last year making them one of the best live acts on the scene.

Saturday 4 July Doors 6pm, on stage from 8pm, finish 10.30pm Fusing Salsa and Congolese Rumba in an exuberant explosion of sound. The flaming partnership between the UK Salsa piano queen Sara McGuinness and Congolese singer Jose Hendrix Ndelo, ignites the creativity of wizard musicians spanning generations and continents who have chosen to make London their home.

Saturday 8 August Doors 6pm, on stage from 8pm, finish 10.30pm Strictly Come Swing Dancing King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys are more than just the world’s greatest swing band, they are an institution! Dazzling musicianship and riveting stage performances has established them as the Kings of Swing. They will be joined by Paul &Natasha who came top in the London heat of BBC 1's Strictly Dance Fever, the reality TV show with Graham Norton. They rapidly became experts at this dance and have been influential in re-popularising its energetic and highly stylised dance form in the UK. Dance tutors will be on hand to ensure you fully enter into the spirit of the era.
